![]() I guess all I can do is refresh the metadata for those 2 movies after every update. NOTE: In my case, the issue sporadically resolved itself ONLY for the Plex Android Media Library covers (maybe due to an app auto-update?), but otherwise my situation remains unchanged after testing the methods outlined above. " I refreshed all metadata in those folders where I was using 'personal media' files, and now all posters are back to portrait (uncropped) format." " As soon as I unmatch the movie from 'personal media' the poster goes back to the normal 'not cropped' format", I know what I uploaded was larger than this. ![]() Is there a way to download the poster from plex I used Inspect but its only showing like a 150x225 size image. In this post, some users claim that some updates appear to address this issue periodically (?). I created a collection poster and uploaded it to plex then deleted the original. The topic is also covered in the following support forum post: How Fix Cropped Posters on Personal Media in Latest Server Edition - Plex Media Server / Metadata & Adding Files - Plex Forum There is no real way to “fix” but to (fix) match it to the movieDB instead of Plex Movie (legacy)"īased on this, it SEEMS like this problem hasn't been fully resolved, and in my case, this "fix" obviously wouldn't work, but maybe it'll be within the realm of possibility for someone else. So it is treating those items like items in an “other videos” library where it has landscape posters. if you look at the GUID of the item it will be something like : guid="://70658f3ee5?lang=xn" ![]() " When you unmatched it, it switches the item to the personal media agent. Is there a good way to determine what is going on, or to clean up these folders? I would think that it would auto purge any old and stale meta data, but something tells me it is not.įor the sake of a comparison I have a Library with: What I am wondering is if its pulling in way more metadata than needed for each of these items (like tons of posters, etc) or perhaps I have duplicate data and it has all the old Metadata still and now is creating a duplicate of everything under a new ID. I recently had to rebuild my library as my Anime Scanner stopped working and I also added a 2nd NAS to start upgrading my old 1080P content to 4K. I checked log files to see if logs were consuming the space (I did have debug logging turned on) but the log files were small, it appears that all the space being used is the Media and Metadata folders and I am not sure why. Today I started to investigate the why and it already in one day grew from 45GB to 61GB when I have not added much to my library in the last few years, most of this is old stuff that I have had forever. I ended up extending it to 90GB about the max I can fit on my SSD datastore for my VM's. ![]() The other day things were going strange and it would not update, come to find out I ran out of disk space on a 45GB disk. I have Plex installed on a Linux VM and all my actual media is on a NAS so I have not needed to keep the Plex VM disk very large as it only holds the Metadata.
